Stupid Lawsuits: The Fundamental Right to Ride a Roller Coaster

I am curious why would Disney care how many times she rode the rollercoaster? If she paid the exhorbitant amount of money to get into the park, why would they tell her she had to limit her rides?

I can see why Disney would try and limit the amount of rides per week. I'm sure there is a health concern with riding so much.

the problem was she was banned coz of causing disturbance in walt disney. if she goes for a suing walt disney because of limit ride i don't think so if that rights can be a strong case against it. i think walts has also the right to limit for the good of her health. thank you for sharing.

I often hear about these type of lawsuits and claims, but when I try to find the actual incident or lawsuit it never materializes. Entertaining myths nonetheless.

It is Disney's roller coaster they have the right to do limit how often someone can use it, why not ? And if I were standing in line and found out that half of the people in front had been riding the damn ride all day I would be irritated.

LOL! this is totally funny and weird. Where in the world you can find that a company limits a person to ride in a roller coaster? I doubt disney will do that.

As long as she would sign a liability waiver I don't see a problem with her riding it as much as she wants, espescially if she paid for entry to the park.

As long as she pays and waits in line like everyone else, I think she should be able to ride as much as she wants.

I'm sure it is up to the park since they take the liability if she would be injured in one way or another. I would hope they spell things out like this on the back of your ticket into the park.

This is strange. Thats where you went wrong Denise causing disturbances in front of other guests and using foul language toward a Cast Member, quite shocking really.

Well if you can be bothered to keep queing up and riding then I dont see anything wrong with that. Just cause the person in front of me has been on the ride already I dont see why that is an annoyance? they just want to ride again.

It's very interesting how Disney makes their case against Ms. Mooty and her quest to ride the Tower of Terror as much as she want. While they are not really admitting that there is a personal injury liability case waiting in the wings if they allow her on the ride all day long, they are obviously working to keep her off the ride. Disney is a great marketing company and there have been a few cases of injuries on this ride in recent years that does not help their image of being a safe family park.

As a former Cast Member, we encountered many unusual things in the parks and this was really no different. She could have gone on the ride numerous times without a notice until she brought attention to her condition which I could understand the liability concerns of the park.

hmmm… if the doctor says a dozen rides i dont see why disney have limited her to only 4!

The problem wasn't the number of times she was riding but the number of times she abuse the GAC (Guest Assistance Card). She didn't want to wait on the lines like everyone else. I was behind her on line once in late August of 2008. She felt she knew the staff well enough, but I'm sure it was the other way around. I'm sorry about her pain and if the ride helps than ride as many times as she wants, but wait on line like everyone else. Just because you know Castmember "Joe" doesn't mean "Joe" should let you not wait on line. "Joe" probrably just wants you out of his face, so rather than say no and have you start saying "but everyone else does, like "Bob" and "Dave", "Joe" just says ok. The GAC are for people who really need them.

I think in these days it is better to go with lawyers to theme parks LOL:)

Maybe, because the girl is burning the reputation of Disney and those kind of statement will affect their business flow.

I think Disney have no fault on this because every ride there are tested and riders choose what they want to ride. So it is on their on prescription.

If she think it is not good to ride that one then why she is angry because she is being banned to ride on that ride.

What a dope. If your life and your health depend on this stupid ride.. surely you'd behave yourself in the park. Some people have no brains.

Oh Please tell me this is not true! If this has any truth and it did make the legal system then more the fool the American legal system.
