Words of Wisdom from Austin DWI Lawyer

- It’s cheaper to rent a helicopter to fly you home than it is to get arrested for DWI in Texas, and that can be true even if your lawyer gets the charge dismissed before trial.

Its good ti know that one gets directly arrested for dwi charges. it would surely lead to reduced number of accident cases in future, since people will now think before driving when they are drunk.

I wish you could expound more on item number two. I always had the impression that if a case has been dismissed before it is even heard it would be like you never had a case at all. Well, it only goes to show how laymen like myself really need legal education.

It's not much different in Georgia. After stopping you, all the cop needs to see is red, bloodshot eyes and detect an odor of alcohol on your breath (from my experience as a law clerk, they always say it's a strong odor), and he has probable cause to arrest you.

That is a pretty powerful statement. I wish I could afford to fly everywhere in a helicopter
What about the flying while intoxicated law? Sure, I may not be flying the bird, but the noise attracts and disturbs lots of people below. They may call in, send a cop, and i could still get a public intox after landing on my roof. Drunk driving is a serious problem, but lets not outlaw having two beers with a dinner. I mean really, does anyone only have one glass of tea?
